FAQ
Every question, answered.
Billing, payouts, onboarding, marketplace, technical. If it isn't here, email us and we'll add it.
Getting started
Most contractors are running their first job within 10 minutes of signup. Stripe Connect onboarding for payouts takes another 3–5 minutes and can be done any time before you send your first invoice.
Either works. Sole proprietors can onboard with an SSN. LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps use their EIN. Stripe handles the verification.
Yes. Dispatch supports CSV import from QuickBooks, Jobber, Housecall Pro, and ServiceTitan. For accounts with 100+ customers, we offer a free migration service.
Yes — iOS and Android. Most contractors run Dispatch primarily from their phone, with the crew using the app in the field for clock-in, photos, and signatures.
Billing and payouts
We take a small percentage of jobs paid through Dispatch. The tiers are 5% for Starter, 4% for Pro, and 3% for Scale. There's no monthly fee on Starter, and our Pro and Scale plans add a modest base fee once you're billing enough to justify it. See the pricing page for exact tiers.
Stripe's standard rates (2.9% + 30¢ for cards, 0.8% for ACH capped at $5) pass through at cost. You can either absorb them or pass them to your customer as a surcharge — your call.
Same day on most U.S. banks. Median payout lands within 3 hours of customer payment. Stripe determines final availability based on your bank and risk profile.
Stripe handles the dispute flow. You get notified, you upload evidence (Dispatch auto-attaches the signed work order, photos, and message history), and Stripe decides. Our team helps you on any dispute.
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Export every customer, invoice, and payout record before you go. Your data is yours.
Jobs and dispatch
Unlimited on every plan. There's no cap on jobs, customers, crew, or invoices.
Yes. Jobs can have one primary crew and multiple supporting crew members. Each person sees their assigned jobs on the mobile app.
Yes — geofence-based auto clock-in, manual clock-in, and per-job time logs. All of it exports for payroll.
Yes. On the way, you (or Dispatch automatically) send a shareable arrival link. Customers get live ETAs without needing the app.
Marketplace
Free to list, free to stay listed. You only pay the standard platform fee on jobs that actually close through Dispatch.
Ratings, jobs completed, license verification, and proximity to the customer. There is no paid ranking — you cannot buy your way to the top of search.
Reviews must be tied to a completed job, so random reviewers cannot tank your rating. You can publicly respond to every review. If a review violates our guidelines, you can flag it for removal.
Yes. You can run Dispatch purely as a job management tool without accepting any marketplace leads. Most contractors use both — but it's your call.
